CVMHA CONSTITUTION


ARTICLE 1 - NAME

The name of the Society is the “Creston Valley Minor Hockey Association (1998)”.

ARTICLE 2 - PURPOSES

  • To promote, govern and improve organized hockey for players 5 to 21 years of age by authority of the Canadian Hockey Association and the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association.
  • To foster among its members, supporters and teams a general community spirit;
  • To maintain and increase interest in the game of hockey;
  • To have and exercise the general care, supervision and direction over the playing interest of its teams and players. 

ARTICLE 3

The operations of this Society are to be chiefly carried on in the District of Creston, British Columbia. This provision is unalterable. 

ARTICLE 4

The society shall be carried on without purpose of gain for its members and any profits or other accretions to the Society shall be used for promoting its purposes. This provision is unalterable.  

ARTICLE 5 

As an unalterable provision of this Constitution, this Society shall be affiliated with the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association and shall operate in a manner consistent with the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association’s Constitution, By-Laws, Regulations and Rules. 

ARTICLE 6

MISSION STATEMENT

As an unalterable provision of this Constitution, the Society dedicates itself to the advancement of Amateur Hockey for all individuals registered with the Society through progressive leadership by ensuring meaningful opportunities and enjoyable experiences in a safe, sportsmanlike environment.
